Pvt. Earl Woodrow Coulson son of Mr.& Mrs. W.W.Coulson formerly of Newton,Kansas was killed in action with the infantry on Luzon, Philippine Islands March 21,1945 at the age of thirty.

Pvt.Coulson was born at Marion, Kansas December 3,1914. at the age eight moved to Newton, Kansas where he attended elementry and High School graduating with the class of 1935.

In 1936 he married Lillian Love daughter of Mrs. Rein Poechel of Newton, they had two sons, Larry Dee and Daryl Lee.

They moved to Wichita in 1937 where he was a member of the Sedgwick countys Sheriff's Redcoat Patrol, he was also a Beech Aircraft guard, they moved to Colorado Springs in 1943.

Pvt. Coulson entered the service in July 1944, trained at Camp Fannin, Texas and went overseas in December. he was a member of Company A, 128th Infantry from January until his death.

He left a widow, two sons and he is servived by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
