Rowland D. "R.D." Gentry
Rowland D. "R.D." Gentry, of Decatur, Ga., died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002.
A native of McMinn County, he was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include one daughter, Judith Gentry Old of Cumming, Ga.; one grandson, Todd L. Old of Decatur, Ga.; one granddaughter, Stephanie Old Kitchens of Augusta, Ga.; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were 1 p.m. Tuesday in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with the Rev. David Hancock officiating.
The family received friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home.
A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home of Decatur, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.
