"Died Saturday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in columbia. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at M.L. Ford and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerrd Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens. Mr. Allman was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his son, Carl Robert Allman of Cayce; two daughters, Edith Devenney of Baltimore, MD and Linda Borden of Atlanta, GA; two half brothers, James Allman of Tampa, FL and Donald Allman of Ganfal, LA; five half sisters, Joan Cline of Enoree, Ruby Jones of Woodruff, Arlene Smith of Spartanburg, Christine Cooksey of Monticello, FL and Patricia Howell of Ganfal; his stepmother Helen Allman Lineberger of Enoree; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at M. I. Ford and Sons Funeral Home."
