Mr. Lachenmaier was a meat cutter at Smoky River Meats and was a route driver for Becker Tire Company, both of Salina. He was a Salina resident since 1961, moving from Quinter.
Mr. Lachenmaier was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral and was a past president of the Eagles Lodge and was a former Boy Scout leader.
Survivors included his wife, Alice M.; a son, Steven; two daughters, Linda Lantz and Susan Richardson; a sister, Barbara McCullick; and seven grandchildren.
