David was born 22 March 1887 at Lake Linden, Houghton, Michigan. He was baptized on the 23rd at St Joseph's Church as Joseph David Leblanc, the son of the late David Leblanc and Beatrice Loiselle who were married on 9 Oct 1876 at St Martine, Chateauguay, Quebec, Canada. I don't know when he chanced his last name to "White" but he served under that name in the United States Army, Co. 1 23rd Div. during World War I and a member of E T Ruane Post American Legion. He was a member of St Joseph's Church and the Union of Prayer of that church. He married Eveline Guilbert Ouimette on 31 December 1924.
He died on 6 Jan 1954 at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Albany after a long illness. He resided in Cohoes for over 55 years. He was survived by his wife Lena (Eveline) Ouimette, four sisters, Beatrice, Clare, Emma and Florence, a step-daughter, a step-son and many nieces and nephews. He was per deceased by his brother (Dieudonne) Dan (Leblanc) White and two sisters. Delia and Anna. He was buried at St Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford, Saratoga, New York on 9 January 1954.
