Mr. Daniel Mack of Charlotte, NC, died, Wednesday, July 22, 1998, at Mercy Hospital South.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Mack will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 1998, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father William Pharr officiating. Committal will follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery, Matthew, NC. There will he a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, at McEwen Funeral Service, Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. The family will receive friends following the rosary.

Mr. Mack was born March 10, 1921, in Preemption, IL, the son of the late Michael Henry Mack and Mary Ethel Wheelan Mack. He was a graduate of Reynolds High School, Reynolds IL and St. Ambrose College, Davenport IA. He was a United States Navy Pilot, and Purple Heart recipient, serving during World War II. He retired as General Manager from Genwove U. S. Limited in Indian Trail, NC.

Mr. Mack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce M White, also by brothers, Paul, Leo and Bernard and a son William Joseph and is survived by his children, Paul Edward Mack, his wife Teresa of Dubuque, IA, David Lawrence Mack, his wife Gayle Dickson, of Milwaukee, WI, Marilyn Ethel Mack of Rock Hill, SC, Timothy Patrick Mack, his wife Bonnie Lynn of Columbus, NC, and Daniel Joseph Mack of Charlotte, NC; sister, Mary Elizabeth Young of Bettendorf, IA; brothers, Joseph Wheelan Mack of California, William Michael Mack of Coal Valley, IL, Francis Raymond Mack of Reynolds, IL, James Vincent Mack of Milan, IL, and John Robert Mack of Bettendorf, IA; thirteen grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Mack, James Mack, Francis Mack, Harvey Hays, Bill Smith, and Jeffrey Mack.
