Aaron Ronald De La Torre, 30, departed this life Feb, 3, 1994, as a result of an auto accident. "Arnie" as he was known to family and friends was a lifetime Puebloan. He was born Feb. 19, 1963, and graduated from Central High School in 1981, where he participated in both football and wrestling. A mechanic by trade, he was known for his baking skills and many friends and relatives truly enjoyed his banana nut bread. He also enjoyed fishing with his three sons. To his family "Arnie" was the coordinator who kept track of all family members, where they lived, their occupation, their spousec and children's names. As a result at family gatherings he was called the introducer. Survived by his fiance Tish Gallegos; children, Patrick, Alex and Tim De La Torre; a brother, Robert (Shirley) De La Torre; sister, Missy (max) Cordero; his mother, Barbara De La Torre; his father, Robert (Dorothy) De La Torre, Thornton, Colo.; grandmother, Helen De La Torre; favorite niece, Jainea Cordero; and numerous aunts,uncles, cousins and friends. Rosary vigil, 7 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Monday, both services, St Francis Xavier Church, Father Ron Schmitt, celebrant. Cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at 521 E. Eavans.
