Mrs. Maria T. Phillips, widow of Thomas T. Phillips, died at her home near Evington yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the age of 69 years after a few days illness from pneumonia and influenza. She was a member of Salem Methodsit Church where the funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock.
She is survived by eight children, Thomas of Lynchubrg, and joseph, Helen, Payne, Avie, Lawrence, Bass and Paul Phillips all of Campbell County. Another son Norvell, and a young son who died in infancy preceded her to the grave. mrs. Nrvell Phillips, a daughter-in-law and several grandchildren are among the surviving relatives.
