Marjorie ALLENDER

Marjorie ALLENDER, 81, of Fairfield, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at her home.

Following her wishes, her body was cremated.

A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield with the Rev. Mike Metz officiating. Private burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorial may be made to First United Methodist Church, in care of Mark Mayer.

Mrs. ALLENDER was born July 27, 1921 in Fairfield, the daughter of Roy T. and Katherine CONSBROCK TALLEY. She married Ed ALLENDER Jr. May 8, 1943 at First United Methodist Church. He died Feb. 12, 2000.

She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1939. She worked at Schafer Pen in Fort Madison, in a doctors' office in Fairfield, and for Pierson & Pierson Plumbing.

She served as Jefferson County Auditor for 17 years, retiring in 1984.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hannah Circle; and Chapter M.B., P.E.O. in Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
