Born in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Jacob and Leah Brechbill Caufman.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alice Birely Caufman.
He was a member of the Gettysburg United Methodist Church and a life-long farmer in Franklin County.
Survivors include daughter, Esther Parker of York; a son, John Caufman of Cleremont, Fla.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, with the Rev. Charles R. Slaybaugh, Jr., officiating. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro.
Friends may call Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m.
