Eloise Fowler Bolt, of Oxford, Alabama, went to be with her Lord on March 1, 2010. Her family was by her side. She was born in Fayette, Alabama June 29, 1925 to Chester and Rosa Mae Fowler and has lived in Calhoun County for more than 50 years. She was a member of "The Greatest Generation", raised during the Great Depression and worked on the docks of Mobile in support of World War II. She was employed with General Electric in her early years and retired from Anniston Army Depot after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Bolt; son, Ellis Wayne Bolt, and brothers, William Fowler, Carey Fowler, Lyndon Fowler and sister, Gladys Hart. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda B. Fontaine and her husband, Rome, of Apex, N.C.; son, Larry Bolt and his wife, Debbie, of Prairieville, La.; sisters, Imogene Ashe, Loyal C. Smith and brother, David Fowler; grandchildren, Chip and Kevin Fontaine, Tim Bolt, Mandi Bolt Nabors and Lindsey Bolt; six great-grandchildren, Morgan, Ellie, Griffin, Taylor, Preston and Grant. Service will be held at 11 a.m. today, March 6, 2010, at Miller Funeral Home in Oxford. Burial will follow at Coldwater Baptist Church Cemetery in Oxford. A special thanks to Dr. Free and her staff at Regional Medical Center, and the staff and friends at NHC for their extra care and support; also to her friends at the VFW Post #924.
