Mildred Cornine (1916 - 2010)
Mildred Cornine, 93, of Marshall, MO, formerly of Blackwater, died May 10, 2010 at Golden Oaks Extended Care at Marshall, MO.
She was born Oct. 28, 1916 in Otterville, the daughter of Ross and Rosa Lee Racy Landon. On Sept. 3, 1936 she married Archie R. Cornine and he preceded her in death in 1994.
She was a member of the Santa Fe Baptist Church in Boonville. She enjoyed traveling and spent many winters in Texas, and enjoyed being on the beach. She worked at a Gas Station for many years, and worked at Banquet Foods in Marshall and also worked as a cook at the Blackwater School.
She was also preceded in death by 2 daughters- Lorene Rumbo and Marie Harris, 2 brothers Dainie Landon and R.D. Landon; 1 sister- Dorothy Barron. SURVIVORS include 1 daughter - Irene Nichols and Roy Jr. of Duncanville, TX; 2 sons- Dale Cornine and Helen of Polo, MO; and Marven Cornine and Brenda of Blackwater, MO; 1 brother- Vernon Landon of Lebanon, MO; 2 sisters- Vivian Weston of New Franklin, MO and Nadine Vivian of Grain Valley, MO. 16 Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Pilot Grove with Pastor Tom Brack officiating. Burial in Peninsula Cemetery near Blackwater, MO.
Visitation from 1:00 until time of service, Friday at funeral home.
