Walter Luther Dickerson

Funeral services for Walter Luther Dickerson, 98, of Sallis were Saturday, May 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Seneasha United Methodist church near Goodman. Rev. M. L. Prewitt and Rev. R. Gray officiated. Interment was in Seneasha Cemetery.

Mr. Dickerson, a native of Attala County and retired farmer, died Thursday, May 12 at Montfort Jones Hospital in Kosciusko. He was a member of Seneasha United Methodist Church and was a Mason and member of Goodman Lodge 489.

Survivors include three sons, Joe Dickerson of Warner Robins, Georgia, Walter L. Dickerson, Jr. of Jackson and Thomas E. Dickerson of Hot Springs, Virginia; three sisters (daughters), Mattie Morse of Sallis, Lavelle Duke of Kosciusko, and Elsie Fail of Gulfport; one brother, Noel Dickerson of Goodman; three sisters, Lizzie Donald and Mary Rone, both of Kosciusko, Mae Jones of McAdams; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Walter L. Dickerson III, Stephen C. Dickerson, Thomas E. Dickerson, Robert Dickerson, Tony Alday and Willie B. McCrory, Jr.
