Emilia "Emma" Gertrude Easterlin was born in 1842, died 1924. Her parents were Bennet and Esther Easterlin of Sumter county GA. Emma married Charles C. Grant in Sumter County, GA on 20 Dec 1863. He was born on 10 May 1842, died 1883. Widow Emma Grant lived in Montezuma GA after 1884.

She regularly visited her Easterlin relatives in Andersonville GA in the early 1900s, according to the Americus Times-Recorder newspaper. On the 1910 Macon county GA census, Widow Emma Grant was sharing her home in Montezuma with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Joanna Easterlin, widow of Green W. Easterlin of Sumter county.

Charles C. and Emma Grant are buried in Felton cemetery, Montezuma alongside their son, T.G. Grant (1864-1909).
