19 Jan 1905, Philadelphia Inquirer Newspaper:
"WHARTENBY - On January 17, 1905, ADAM STEVENS WHARTENBY, son of the late James Q. Whartenby and Elizabeth Rheppard, in his 32d year. Relatives and friends of the family, also Frankford Council, No. 176 Jr. O. of O. A. M., are invited to attend the funeral, on Friday, at 2 P. M., from his late residence, 4564 Dittman st., Frankford. Interment at North Cedar HIll Cemetery."

According to his death certificate he was a bartender. He died aged 31y 9m 11d. Apparenty He died from Chirosis of the Liver - No Suprize considering his 0ccupation for several years as a Bartender & Liquor Salesman. His mother Elizabeth Stephens Rheppard re-married upon James Q's death. Adam Stephan Whartenby was named after his G/grandfather Adam Stephan who died in Ebensburg,Penns in 1874. To the best of my knowledge Adam was never married - lived with his mother in 1900 census record. There is no Individual Headstone for Adam in the Family Plot, however he is buried near his family members.
