James Henry Daniell, served in Co. H., 29th Regiment, Georgia Volunteer Infantry, Army of Tennessee, C.S.A. He was appointed 1st Corporal upon muster on Oct .1, 1861 and was appointed 1st Sergeant. He surrendered at Tallahassee, Florida and was paroled on May 25, 1865 at Thomasville, Georgia. He married Mary Ann Eliza Rice on Dec. 17, 1850 in Stewart County, Georgia. In 1860, their home was in Thomas County, Georgia, in 1870, Colquitt County, and in 1880, Brooks County. They had eight children. James and Mary moved to Lake County, Florida after 1880.
