CASPER – Graveside services for Orville E. Miller, 74, will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens by Rev. George R. Hodges with military honors accorded by the United Veterans Council.
Mr. Miller died Jan. 23, 1992, at the Poplar Living Center in Casper. He was born July 23, 1917, in Fort Collins, Colo., the son of Daniel and Ethel (Lawson) Miller. The family moved to Casper where he attended school and graduated from Natrona County High School.
He was employed as an electrician for Modern Electric and retired in 1981.
Mr. Miller enjoyed hunting, fishing and carpentry work.
On July 1, 1971, he married Adele Thiele in Casper.
He was a past member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Casper.
Besides his wife of Casper, survivors include two daughters, Evonne Strohman of Casper and Paula Miller of Denver, Colo.
Also surviving are seven stepchildren; Cherrie Schoonover, Joanne Hytrek and Danny Clark, Casper; Gary Rissler, Texas; Dale Smith, Glenda Ide; and Velois Smith.
Eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren also survive.
Preceding him in death is a brother, Quenton Miller.
Friends may call at Memorial Chapel from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Either flowers or memorials to the Poplar Living Center would be appreciated by the family.
