PAHL, MARY IRENE Of St. Johns, formerly of Jackson and Lansing, born April 1, 1908, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2003, aged 94 years. The family extends a special thanks to the caring staff of Hazel Findley Nursing Facility. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Hanchon; her husband, Russell E. Pahl; one brother and his wife, Bernard and Clara Hanchon; her three stepchildren, Marilyn Teller, Robert Pahl and LeRoy Pahl and daughters-in-law, Naomi and Ruth Pahl. Mrs. Pahl is survived by daughters, Charlene Paul and Patricia Gabriel of Grand Ledge; stepson, Gerald M. (Mary Jane) Pahl of Pleasant Lake; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren. Mrs. Pahl was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church of Michigan Center, member of Michigan Retired Employees Association, lifetime member of VFW Women's Auxiliary Post No. 823 and the Michigan Education Association. Services will be held at the funeral home, Monday, March 17, 2003, 10:00 a.m. Pastor Richard McKenzie officiating. Burial Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, 5 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
