BROOKS, Ruth M. April 8, 2010, Ruth M. Brooks (nee McCloy), age 79, passed away. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Ruth has been an original resident of the Downs Farm section of Cherry Hill. She worked for many years at Temple University in several different departments including the Director of Graduate Admissions, Assistant to the Dean of the Graduate School and also Assistant to the Dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband, George. She is the devoted mother of Tracy (Pat) Quigley of Berlin, NJ and Kyle (Stephanie) Brooks of Cherry Hill, NJ. She is the loving grandmother of Andrew, Devin, Brendan and Taylor and the dear sister of John (Claire) McCloy. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Monday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and again Tuesday morning from 9:30 - 11:00 AM at the HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 1816 Berlin Road (Route 561), Cherry Hill, NJ where her funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Interment William Penn Cemetery, Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Charles J. Clarke, Jr. Memorial Fund to benefit heart research, c/o Hospital at Univ. of Pennsylvania, 3400 Spruce St, Phila., PA 19104.
