Youngest son of John & Sophia (Heaven) Ansley. He immigrated to the USA in 1883, dropping his first name of Llewellyn shortly afterward.

Final Rites Held For Geo. Ansley
Funeral services for, George Ansley, 81, were held today at 2 p.m. at the Latter Day Saints church. Burial was made in the Columbia cemetery west of Lovilla. Mr. Ansley died Sunday at the Yocum hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. Prior to his entering the hospital he had been cared for at the Baker nursing home.
He is survived by four sons, Alva of Williamson; William and George, of Chariton and Orville of Des Moines; five daughters, Mrs. Blanche Bianchi, Mrs. Ethel Owens, Mrs Rhoda Fillman, Mrs. Gertrude Owens and Mrs. Stella Douglas, all of Des Moines.
