Widnoon, Oct. 23.—Relatives here received word Tuesday announcing the death of Madison W. Meredith at his home in Los Angeles, Calif., on Monday, at 6 o'clock, following a long illness. Mr. Meredith was 69 years of age and was born at this place and spent many years of his life in this section. He is survived by his widow, two sons, Roy of Los Angeles, Cal and Owen of Painsville, Ohio, also by 5 grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters; N. O, of Punxsutawney; T. T. and O. C. of Widnoon; Mrs. Altia Keilar and Mrs. J. C. Fox of Pittsburgh, and Mrs A. H. Unger of Kittanning. Mr. Meredith's first wife, who died a number of years ago, was Miss Phoebe McElravey, daughter of the late Benjamin McElravey. O. C. Meredith left immediately for Los Angeles to attend the funeral services which will be held Sunday, the 26th. The interment will take place in the Forest Lawn cemetery in that city.
