Son of Norwegian immigrants, he was one of the eleven children of Jørgen(John)Johannesson(Johnson) and his wife Aavedt Kirstine(Christina) Pedersdatter. He had two half siblings. Many of the family are buried at Highland Cemetery, rural Menomonie, WI.
Jens was his name at baptism at St.Olaf at Toland in Dodge County.
When the mother of Hazel Johnson, daughter of John Peter died, Hazel Viola became part of the family. See 50629197.
