OBITUARY
Cleve Rice HUDSON, father of Cleve HUDSON of Perryton, Texas died Monday night at his home in Amarillo, Texas after a long illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Pierce Street Baptist church, with Rev. Earl Hatchett officiating.
Mr. HUDSON, 56-years-old, was an Amarillo police officer from 1935 until about four months ago, when ill health forced him to quit. He had lived in Amarillo 23 years, and was a shoe repairman before he became a policeman.
He was born Jan. 13, 1894, in Oklahoma. He was a member of the Pierce Street Baptist church and the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hazel HUDSON; three sons, Cleve HUDSON, Jr., of Perryton, Tx., Earl Frank HUDSON and James Arthur HUDSON, both of Amarillo; two daughters, Miss Receine HUDSON of Amarillo and Mrs. Leo ALONZO of Earth, Texas; a brother, Frank HUDSON of Pratt, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Fred BRINGOLD and Mrs. C. W. KEITH, both of Amarillo; and five grandchildren.
Burial was made in Memorial Park, Amarillo, Potter Co., Texas.
