Joe Lynn Pearce was the younger son of Willard Obie Pearce and Lucy Elizabeth Crain Pearce.

Funeral services for Joe Lynn Pearce, 16, Pottsville Star Route, Hamilton, were held in the Riley Funeral Chapel Sunday, January 8 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Harris and Rev. Sidney Roberts officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Weiser Addition.

Young Pearce was killed late Friday night, Jan. 6, 1961, in an auto accident in Hamilton. He was born March 5, 1944.

He was a junior student at Hamilton High School, where he was a member of the Future Farmers of America Chapter. Also he was employed at Wood-Robinson Grocery after school and on school holidays.

He was a member of the Lund Valley Baptist Church.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Lowrance of Pottsville Star Route, Hamilton; one sister, Mrs. Betty Lou Jones of Odessa; two brothers, James Obie Pearce of Lubbock and Kenneth Wayne Lowrance of the home here; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Crain and Mrs. Nancy Pearce, all of Route 3 Hamilton; and a great grandmother, Mrs. J. W. Crain, of Route 1.

Pallbearers were: Norman Ray Clark, Riley Banta, Bobby Drake, James Harold Perry, Gene Pruitt, Wayland Lloyd, Jerry Moreland, Randy Dunlop, Bobby Arnett, and John Ben Knudson.

Riley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
