Iza was the eldest of the six children of Joseph and Melcena (Dickson) Booher. She died in the 1918 Spanish Flu epidemic. She was exceptionally musically-talented. Her body was moved from her original interment cemetery in Armstrong, Illinois to the one in Danville after the death of her father, to be buried next to him.

Iza never married. She was survived by her parents and her siblings, Atha Rovene (William) Perteit, Ivan Joseph (Theta) Booher, Reefa Roberta (Verle) Burnette, Zelda Ione (Carl) Clements, and Elda Louise (Herbert) Myers.

My grandfather, William Perteit, assisted in moving her coffin from Armstrong to Danville upon the death of his father-in-law. The coffin was opened to ensure that they were moving the correct individual. He had never met Iza, but he said that she was still a startlingly beautiful girl.

In the 1930s William Perteit suffered a farming accident which cost him his right arm to the shoulder. It was buried in Iza's grave in Danville.
