Susan Adams
Susan ADAMS, born 1790 in Vermont, moved with her family to Ontario County, New York. Her grandfather, Timothy Adams fought at Bunker Hill. She married Timothy BANISTER, a veteran of the War of 1812, in 1815. They settled in Armada Township in 1834-5 with their 6 children. Susan died in 1855 in Armada Township. Susan was one of a handful of women who bought land direct from the government, as was her sister, Malinda ADAMS.
