Annelle Cashiola Abbott, age 67, passed away peacefully after a year long courageous battle with cancer. The daughter of a Houston homebuilder and entrepreneur, Annelle grew up in the Houston Heights. She attended Christ the King Catholic School and St. Pius X High School where she played volleyball and basketball. She loved music, and traveled with a local girls' group, singing for the Armed Forces. Her life's focus was her three children and granddaughter, whom she adored. She was completely devoted to her family and was their biggest fan, always encouraging and cheering them on. Annelle's passion was dancing. She loved it. She was a member of Houston's Whip Club, received many awards, and was admired for her unique style. Perhaps her real reward through dancing was the extraordinary friendships she developed over the years. Annelle spent the last 15 years of her life as a nanny. This was a very fulfilling experience for both she and the children. Her kind and gentle way enabled a special connection with those she lovingly cared for. Annelle loved with her whole heart. She saw the best in everyone. Her warm smile and tender spirit will be greatly missed and cherished forever.
