Faye Dean Abernathy, 65, of Greenhill, died at her residence Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008. She was a member of St. Joseph Church of Christ.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Greenhill Funeral Home, with Brother Tim Grigsby officiating. Burial will be in Emmaline Stutts Cemetery.
Survivors include husband, Jesse Wayne Abernathy; daughters, Lesa Pettus and husband, Larry, Jill Brown and husband, Clint; grandchildren, Tyler Pettus, Dustin Brown, Presley Pettus and Makenzie Brown; brothers, Robert Dean, Jim Dean, Roy Dean and John Dean; sisters, Lillian Hunt, Lois Burleson, Mae Barnett, Dot Ashby and Joyce Kimbrell.
She was preceded in death by parents, Bryan Cecil and Georgean Fowler Dean; brothers, Preston, Tommy and Dalton Dean; and sister, Frances Foster.
Pallbearers include grandsons, Tyler Pettus and Dustin Brown; nephews, Tony Dean, Nathan Dean, Carroll Dean, Wendell Dean, Jonathan Kimbrell; and friend, Justin Hayes.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
