H. Clyde Ottaway
The death of H. Clyde Ottaway occurred Friday night at his home in Middlefield following an illness of two years. he was 80 years old.
He was born in Middlefield on June 11, 1880, a son of Moses J. and Marietta (Bowers) Ottaway. he was a retired farmer, and ahd always resided in Middlefield.
He married Buelah Fling on January 29, 1908 in Middlefield. He had been a member of the First Baptist Church of Cooperstown for more than 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, and by a brother, Charles ottaway of Cooperstown.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Ingalls Funeral Home here with the Rev. Merlin W. Bradley, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Lakewood Cemetery.
