Ruby Ila Bailey Age 72, of 551 S.E. First St., Belle Glade, passed away early Saturday morning at the Glades General Hospital. She was born on November 4, 1897, in Punta Gorda, Florida and has been a resident of Belle Glade since 1941, having formerly lived in Pahokee from 1936 until 1941.
Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Belle Glade Chapter of the Eastern Star No. 197; the Hospital Auxiliary; St. ELizabeth Guild of the Episcopal Church; Belle Glade Garden Club and the Belle Glade Woman's Club.
Survivors include one son, Bill J. Bailey, one daughter, Mrs. Joy Payne and seven grandchildren, all of Belle Glade; one sister, Mrs. Sallie Sharpe of St. Cloud, Fla.
