LEWIE FORREST EASTEP,
LEWIE, 63, of Carter's Creek Pike, Columbia, died Nov. 21, 1983, in Veteran's Hospital in Nashville.

Services were Saturday at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home, with Glen Mayfield minister officiating. Burial was in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The Alabama native was the son of the late Mack and Maggie Sewart Eastep.

A World War II Army veteran, having served in Sicily and North Aftica, was a self employed carpenter, farmer and member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Staggs Eastep, 3 sons: William Earl Eastep, Horace Eastep, and Mack A. Eastep, all of Columbia: a brother, Marvin Eastep of MT. Pleasant; six grandchildren.

He is preceeded in death by a son, Anthony Eastep and 2 brothers William Marion Eastep and Jessie Eastep.

Pall bearers were Carl Johnson, Jim Stewart, John Malugin, David Staggs, Tommy Eastep, Al Stewart, Joe Staggs and Ross Delk.

Lewie was my uncle.
