June N. (Steinbacher) Longtin-Abbey Thomas, 62, of Cicero died Sunday in Francis House. A life resident of the Syracuse area, she had been employed by Peerless Insurance Co. for over 13 years as a senior commercial lines underwriter. Previously she was employed by Haylor Freyer & Coon Insurance Agency and The Hartford Insurance Agency. She was a member of the South Shore Rod & Gun Club.
Surviving are her husband, John Thomas, Jr., of Cicero; her father, William Steinbacher of Syracuse; three stepchildren: Cindy Abbey of Cicero, Heather Thomas of Liverpool and Brian Thomas of N. Syracuse; a grandson, Mitchell Williams of Cicero; a sister, Shirl (Fred) Munger of Camillus; two nieces: Shari Eames and Michelle Munger of Syracuse; one great- niece, Marianna Munger; and one great-nephew, Braedon Eames.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Pirro & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Friends may call at the funeral home, 514 Turtle St., Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
