Helen Smith was born in Lynn MA, the daughter of Irving W. Smith and Mabel E. Lampier. She married Harry Marshall in Lynn on June 17, 1917. The couple had three children, two sons and a daughter, though their youngest son died when about seven years of age. In about 1971, after spending her whole life in Lynn, they sold their home and moved to a smaller home in Salem, NH.
