He married Helen Smith on June 17, 1917 in Lynn and they remained together until their deaths. Their first child, a son, Harry Orin, was born the following year. A daughter, Elinor, followed soon after. A third child, Frederick, was born in 1927 but died in 1934.
They had purchased a triple-decker many years before, but by about 1971, with their children long gone from the home, they sold that and moved to a smaller residence in Salem, Rockingham County, NH. They spent their remaining years in that home.
