Robert C. Freed, age 81, of 5535 Lilac Road, Plymouth, Indiana, 46563, passed away at 9:13 a.m., Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

Bob was born on April 7, 1928, in Plymouth, to Carl and Clara (Stewart) Freed. Bob served his country in the United States Army during WWII and was stationed on the Panama Canal. On October 17, 1959, Bob and Gracie Lampkins were united in marriage. He worked at Bremen Bearing, in the quality control department. He was an avid golfer. Bob and Gracie enjoyed playing cards and once a month they would play with two other couples.

Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gracie Freed; his brother-in-law, John and Beverly Lampkins of Plymouth; his niece, Pam and Doug Schuler of Leesburg, Indiana; his nephews, Rod and Peggy Dawson of Culver, Indiana, Mark and Becky Anderson of Grovertown, Indiana, Mike Lampkins of Plymouth, John, Jr. and Candy Lampkins of Plymouth, and Kevin Lampkins of Leesburg. Bob was preceded in death by his infant son, Bryan Freed.
