Denny Meeker was the ninth and last child of Rusley and Mary Meeker. He was killed in North Africa, during World War II. His gravestone in the Bonifay Cemetery says: In Memory of PFC Denny T. Meeker, Feb. 23, 1915. Died from wounds received in action Feb. 20, 1943. Buried in U.S. Military Cemetery, Plot E. Row 17 Grave 61, Tunis, (Carthage) Tunisia.
