Born Sept. 27, 1922, in Melber, Ky., she retired from Kentucky Fried Chicken on Jackson Street and was of the Penticostal Faith.
Surviving are 11 children; Herbert Banks and wife, Rosie, of Riedland, Russell Banks and wife, Selah, of Paducah, Morris Banks and wife, Mary, of Paducah, Billy Banks and wife, Elizabeth, of Lone Oak, James Banks and wife, Tamara, of Paducah, Mae Bass of Paducah, Sharon Luchesi Of Paducah, Phyllis Golendez and husband , Joe, of Paducah, Linda Neihoff and husband, Billy, of Metropolis, Ill. and Dana Estes and her husband, Johnny, of Benton, Ky.; grandchildren, Tanya Dickey, Rusty Banks, Barbara Crouch, Angie Wring, Michael Baker, Marvin Banks, Herb Banks, Terry Banks, Mary Sullivan, Kathy Riley, Joanna Vaughn, Shawna Braswell, Alex Estes, Justin Jones, Kerry Avery, Dawn Crouch, Lisa Andrews; 24 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Albert Banks; her parents, Sylvester and Josie Beasley Hayden; daughter, Joyce Ann Banks; great granddaughter, Brittany Banks; sister, Audie Castleberry; half sister, Effie Turner; brothers, Claude, Edward C. and Elbert Hayden; and half brothers, Homer and Carl Williams.
Funeral was held at Milner and Orr funeral home with Bishop Gaylon Stewart officiating. Burial was in Brooks Memorial Park.
