James Allen Wagaman, 26, died Saturday, March 27, 2010, in Whiteland. He was a resident of Whiteland.

James was born July 27, 1983, in Columbus to William and Melissa (Garrett) Waga­man.

He was em­ployed the past five years at Whiteland Tire as a supervisor.

He liked working on tractors and belonged to the Johnson and Brown County Antique Tractor Club. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers, hunting and building derby cars and watching them race. He loved spending time with his daughter, Ashley.

Survivors include his parents, William and Melissa Wagaman of Grabill; his daughter, Ashley Marie Wagaman of Whiteland; two sisters, Gladys Ann (Larry Worsham) Wagaman of South Bend and Laura M. (Jarod) Wagaman Grifford of Benton, Ark.; his grandparents, Katie and James Bennett of New Haven and David Garrett of Kentucky; two nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Chester R. Wagaman; a grandmother, Opal Black; an aunt, Elizabeth Richmond; and three uncles, Danny Garrett, John Wagaman and Donnie Wagaman.

The Rev. Norman Palmer will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
