MARY L. MANN, 92, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010, 6:14 p.m., at The Heritage of Huntington. Born July 13, 1917, in Wells County, daughter of James Clyde and Celestia Olive "Ollie" (Lav-engood) Allen, she was a 1935 graduate of East Union Center High School. A homemaker most of her life, she had also worked at General Electric in Fort Wayne for several years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, as well as a member of Order of the Eastern Star. She was united in marriage to Max W. Mann on Oct. 18, 1947, in Huntington; Max preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1986. Survivors include a son, John (Gale) Mann of Fort Wayne; two step-grandchildren, John Witting and Karen Witting, both of Indianapolis; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Neal (Marguerite) Allen and Ival (Lois) Allen; and four sisters, Lucille Allen, Marie (Harold) Thompson, Ilene Allen and Martha (Harold) Waters. Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, with visitation one hour prior to service. Rev. David Ballinger officiating. Visitation also from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Order of the Eastern Star, Floral Chapter 75 service presented at 6 p.m. Interment in Markle Cemetery. Memorials to Riley Hospital for Children or Trinity United Methodist Church, both in c/o Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
