Norma Saunders Barco, 89, of Sentara Village, Virginia Beach, VA died Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Sentara Bayside Hospital. Mrs. Barco, formerly of Grandy, NC, was the daughter of the late Ellie Wilson Saunders and Bessie Owens Saunders and the widow of Ralph Evans Barco. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and the Coinjock Order of Eastern Star #218. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Barco Hart of Chesapeake, VA, Iris Barco Resnick and husband Robert of Chesapeake, VA; a son William Randy Barco of Grandy, NC; a sister Hazel Hawkins of Chespeake, VA; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild. She was pre-deceased by two sisters, Elsie Merrell and Bertie Ericksen; and three brothers, Ralph Saunders, Mervin Saunders, and Blanton Saunders. Funeral service Friday, March 19, 2010 at Mt. Zion UMC with the Rev. David Blackman officiating; burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Elizabeth City, NC. Memorial donations may be made to Mt.
