A retired bookkeeper with Russell's Firestone and a resident of Hammond, she died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was 83 and a native of Tangipahoa Parish.
Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home chapel, Hammond, 10 a.m. until religious services at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Interment in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
Survived by two sons, Jesse J. Jones Jr., Hammond, and David A. Jones Sr., Robert; four sisters, Mildred Edwards, Hammond, Hazel Daigle, Gonzales, and Amy Davis and Ida Stevens, both of Hammond; and three grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Jesse J. Jones; three brothers, Clarence White, Wilton White Bailey and Wilbur White; and parents, David and Lena Moore White. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Hammond.
