James Nolan Adcock was born in Quinton, Oklahoma on July 22, 1953, to O.C. and Billie Adcock. James is survived by his son, Seth Nolan Adcock; his Mother, Billie Adcock-Hall, his step father, Larry Hall; a sister, Niki Alderson; a brother-in-law, Bob Alderson; a son –in-law, Shawn Curd ; a nephew Kyle Alderson; two grandchildren, Delaney Curd and Sean-David Curd; and his stepmother, Sandra Adcock. He was preceded in death by his father O.C. Adcock and daughter, Jennifer Adcock Curd. James graduated from Will Rogers High School, Tulsa, Ok. in 1970. After graduation he joined the United States Marine Corp and served from 1974-1977 receiving an Honorable Discharge. James decided to follow in his father's footsteps and attended jewelry school from 1977-1979 in Paris, TX before joining in the family jewelry business in Stigler, OK. James continued working in the Stigler store until 2000 when he accepted a position at a store in Eufaula. Eventually, James found himself returning to his former home, Tulsa, where he worked at Moody's Jewelers. James was active in his community and was well-known for his role of Master of Ceremonies at numerous community events. James was a Master Mason and was an active member of the Stigler Masonic Lodge. He also served several years as a Cub Scout Den Leader and Cub Master. James was a loving, son, father, brother and poppy and will be missed by all who knew him. The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to friends and family for the support and prayers over the past months. Memorial service will be 10 am Monday, January 25, 2010, at the Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Stigler, OK. under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory.
