Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lovely Lane United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids, with the Rev. Brian Milford officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids, and after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Church.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Mark's name.
Survivors include his parents, Jerry and Virginia (Hakes) Weiland, of Hiawatha; a sister, Connie Gogola and her husband, John, of Ankeny; grandparents, Margaret (Hakes) Bergman, of Clear Lake and Paul and Betty Weiland, of Dumont; a niece, Meagan; two nephews, J.J. and Mark's godson, Eric; many relatives and friends; and his pet dog, Ozzie.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gail Hakes; and an uncle, Virgil Miller.
