Christine Angeline Lee, daughter of Eddie Franklin and Rose G. Asher Maples, was born, July 27, 1927 in Marionville, Missouri. She departed this life, Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in her home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of eighty-two years, seven months and eighteen days.

On July 27, 1944 in Aurora, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Morris Lee. Together they shared the past sixty-five years of marriage.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sharon Mallard.

Survivors include her husband, Morris Lee of the home; a son, Franklin Morris Lee, Sr. and wife Linda of Camdenton, Missouri; a daughter, Delores Diane Black; five grandchildren, James Black, Jesse Kempter, Franklin Morris Lee, II, Michele Murdock and Billy Lee; eight great-grandchildren, James Morris Black, Jr., Leyna Emory Black, Kyla Kempter, Kody Kempter, Abby Lee, Shelby Lee, Wyatt Lee and Kalie Murdock; five sisters, Delores Siegrist and Gail Maples both of Kansas City, Missouri and Corina Webb, Esther Holden and Marie Gardner all of Springfield, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Christine was raised in Aurora, Missouri and after her marriage to Morris lived there for a short time. They moved to Kansas City and lovingly raised their children there. She was a sales representative and instructor for Cameo Fabric Products. She taught countless people how to paint on clothing, quilts and other fabric. She was a professional artist whose work was published through the Assemblies of God Gospel Publishing House, reaching throughout the world. They retired to Camdenton in 1943.

She made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Camdenton.

Her passion was painting. She created countless works of art that will be passed on for generations to come. She also enjoyed reading and feeding the birds.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2010 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. A private family burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Friday in the funeral home.
