Mrs. Lula Posey, widow of Walter Posey, died at her home at Slick, near Bristow, Oklahoma, last Friday, February 29, 1924. The remains were brought here for burial. Death was due to an attack of pneumonia. She was born about 1875.
The funeral was held Monday at the Baptist Church, of which she had been a member for years, never taking her membership away. Burial was at Elmwood, on March 3, 1924, beside her husband who preceded her to the great beyond by only a few months. She leaves six children to mourn her loss. At the time of her death, Mrs. Posey was in her fiftieth year. She spent the greater part of her life in Wagoner County and was a distant relative of her husband and of the same name. The services were conducted by Rev. E. J. Jameson.
