Officials at Capital Speedway said driver Bob Nicholson of Millbrae was heading into a turn in. a lime trial when the throttle on his vehicle apparently jammed. The midget roared up an eight-foot wall, flipped over several times and landing in an empty section of a parking lot.
Nicholson, about 30, is survived by a wife and two young children, officials reported. The track's last fatality took place three years ago.
