Former Resident Buried
Shellsburg, April 13- The remains of Lincoln Meskimen, 65, were brought here Saturday from Chicago for interment in the Shellsburg cemetery beside his parents, Mr and Mrs. Martin Meskimen. Deceased, was well known here, he was an expert egg candler. Those who accompained the body were a son, Alfred, a daughter Dolly, a brother,Ed Meskimen of Chicago, a brother George of Dubuque, and a nephew, Leslie Meskimen of Champaign, Ill.

I have a copy of the death certificate of (Abraham) Lincoln Meskimen. He died
April 8, 1925 in Chicago, Cook County Illinois, leaving a daughter Dolly (Mary
Grace Meskimen) and a son, Edward (per the 1910 census). You might want to post
a correction. I do apprecieate your taking the time to post the basic
information I was looking all over Cook County for that guy!
