Lewis J. Cook, 77, Rt. 5, a retired merchant, died Friday (June 2, 1967) at 5:10 p.m. in King's Daughters' Hospital after being admitted as a patient.
He was born April 18, 1891 at Valley Mills, a son of William J. and Sarah Elizabeth (Wilson) Cook.
Mr. Cook is survived by four daughters, Mrs. C. Guy Mahoney, Lexington; Mrs. Charles A. Null, Harrisonburg; Mrs. Raymond L. Whitmore, Front Royal, and Mrs. Dorval D. Banks, Pomona, Calif.; five brothers, Harry B., Marshall W., Robert J. and Warren G. Cook, all of Rt. 1, Swoope, and Samuel G. Cook, Rt. 5, Staunton; also four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in Thornrose Cemetery.

Note - He was married to Mary Isabel Cochran on November 25, 1918 in Washington D.C., they later divorced. She then married Frank Ernest Hatcher about 1961.
