HAMILTON Louis Peter Bialota Jr., 78, passed away Wednesday at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Bialota was a baker for many years in the Trenton area. He retired after 10 years as manager of Eagle Bakery in Trenton and was formerly employed by Bob's Cake Box in Trenton. He was a member of American Legion Post 31 and a former manager in the Lou Gehrig Babe Ruth Baseball league. Mr. Bialota was an avid Yankees fan.
Son of the late Louis P. and Margaret Nacel Bialota Sr., and brother of the late John and Robert Bialota, he is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jean C. Stevens Bialota of Hamilton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Louis P. and Sherri Bialota III of Middletown, DE, and Brian P. Bialota of Hamilton; two daughters and a son-in-law, Joyce and Thomas Cunningham of Rumson, and Cathy Lubas Gernhart; a sister, Loretta Sytnik of New Egypt; and seven grandchildren, Meghan and Kevin Cunningham, Crystal, William, and Travis Bialota, Rebecca and Jeffrey Lubas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday from the Buklad Memorial Home, 2141 S. Broad St. in Hamilton.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
Friends may call Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the memorial home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memorial Department, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
