She was the mother of a daughter and four sons: Michale Palmer Hale of Ramstein, Germany; CPO USN Retired, John Thomas Palmer II of Elizabeth City, N.C., GMG2 United States Navy Anthony Richard Palmer of Pascagoula, Miss., CPO USN, Retired, Richard Charles Palmer of Summerville, S.C., and William Arthur Palmer, USAF, San Antonio, Texas; brother, Anthony Richard "Rick" Buttitta, Greensboro, Ga.; and 13 grandchildren.
